India Clean Air Connect is a response to air quality convenings hosted by the India Climate Collaborative, Clean Air Fund, ClimateWorks Foundation and Shakti Sustainable Energy Foundation in 2019 and 2020.

Job description
CSTEP is looking for 2 candidates with experience in air pollution studies to help in developing clean air action plans. The candidate should be able to perform statistical analysis, develop/use mathematical models, and be familiar with key economic terms. She/he should have experience in analysing and visualising data that can lead to actionable insights.
The responsibilities will include:
- Collect and analyse different types of pollution-related data sets (Â e.g., emission factors, activity data, geolocation, etc.).
- · Participate in relevant conferences, workshops, and training programmes, as needed.
- · Assist senior team members in proposal writing, report writing, and project development activities.
Eligibility
· Strong research skills with good written and oral communication skills.
· Knowledge and demonstrable experience in programmatic data analysis (e.g., Python or R).
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
· Good analytical skills (review data, observe patterns, and draw logical conclusions)
Good to have
· Prior working experience in GIS tools like ArcGIS or QGIS.
· Knowledge of data-analysis methods like exploratory analysis and inferential analysis.
· Working knowledge of cost-benefit analysis of air-pollution control measures.
Bachelor’s degree in Science, Economics, Statistics, or Engineering (in an area related to air pollution, atmospheric chemistry, environmental science or equivalent). 2 years of relevant work experience in Air Pollution studies.
