Job description
CEEW seeks to hire a field consultant with a knowledge of Punjab's agricultural practices to join the Clean Air team. The role primarily involves supporting the team's work on crop residue burning in Punjab through field insights, assistance with farmer interviews and surveys, data analysis, government engagement, etc.
The candidate is expected to have interpersonal skills.
In addition to the duties and responsibilities mentioned, the individual should be prepared, as and when necessary, to take on additional responsibilities.

Primary Responsibilities
Research
- Assist the team working on crop residue burning in designing surveys and questionnaires for stakeholder interviews and focus group discussions.
- Analyse data obtained through surveys and other means and generate insights on crop residue burning.
- Actively participate in field visits with the team and initiate conversations with farmers, district-level agricultural officials, biomass aggregators, etc.
- Programme assistance
- Support effective outreach of research outputs through coordination with the outreach team, and engagement with a broader network of stakeholders, and concerned policymakers.
- Participate in relevant conferences, workshops, and training programmes for a comprehensive understanding of developments relevant to the air quality sector.
Eligibility
Bachelors/Masters degree in Agricultural Sciences, Agricultural Engineering, Agri-business or related fields.

Work experience
1-2 years of experience.
Key skills
- Fluent in Punjabi (both written and spoken).
- Prior experience in working on crop residue burning.
- Ability to present the work in a lucid manner.
- Creative thinker with demonstrated success in implementing out-of-the-box content ideas. Demonstrated abilities to manage multiple priorities, projects and internal/external resources in a fast-paced environment, while meeting deadlines and quality standards. Strong drive and initiative, a self-starter.
